Not really going to add much, but I urge a good reading of Billmon's post on the twists and turns of the Bush foreign policy regarding Libya and Iraq. He makes some good points.

About me

Hi there! Thanks for stopping in. I'm Christopher Allbritton, former AP and New York Daily News reporter. In 2002, I went stumbling around Iraqi Kurdistan, the northern part of Iraq outside Saddam's direct control, looking for stories. (Some might call it "looking for trouble.") In March 2003, I made it back in time for the war, becoming the Web's first fully reader-funded journalist-blogger. With the support of thousands of readers, we raised almost $15,000. You can read my dispatches here. It was one of the moments in journalism when everything worked. It was a grand -- and successful -- experiment in independent journalism. In 2004, I moved to Iraq, where I would spend the next two years. It was a raucous, scary and exciting place with a lot of news going on. But I've since moved on to Beirut and the wider region. I now report for a variety of outlets.

Won't you consider donating to support reportage from the Middle East? Your generosity directly feeds reporting costs such as visas, travel, fees and other expenses. I already have a bullet-proof vest, so no need to fund that.

If you'd like to book me for radio or TV appearances -- I'm experienced in both -- please contact my agency, Global Radio News, at + (0) 44 20 7976 5335. Thank you.

And be sure to read Pedro’s comment (11:54 AM).
I dont think they got the real Saddam, Details are in this site
http://www.angelfire.com/oz/poll/
They got Saddam Issa… Take the tinfoil off…
Qaddafi is a “good guy” per say, but he is making a wise choice.
It shows the force of a principaled stand can result in diplomatic victories.
Notice Libya didnt go to the UN or the EU. They went to the US and UK to resolve this.
If Saddam would have done what Qaddafi did, Saddam wouldn’t be sitting in a cold bathroom at the airport.
Issa-
Saddam is 66 yrs old. Previous pictures taken when he was a little more spry. Skin wrinkles and being on the run for 9 months, one tends to “fall apart”.
Umm…Saddam is vain, “Hair Color for Men” can be applied.
I have friends who can grow a forrest on their chin in less time. Saddam is a hairy man in viewing pictures of him swimming.
Noses look the same to me…
Does it matter, really? Its the same guy in the picture and any person can see that.
