BEIRUT – Israel is threatening massive attacks across the south of the country following a Hezbollah missile attack on Haifa that killed eight Israelis earlier today. Tel Aviv has apparently been put on alert. Israel is claiming that Hezbollah used a larger rocket, the Fajr, which has about a 40-km range and a larger payload. Residents of southern villages in Lebanon also have been given two or three hours before Israel begins attacking the area.
