Is this a first? The latÂest from the SpeÂcial InspecÂtor GenÂeral for Iraq ReconÂstrucÂtion (big pdf) gives a casuÂalty numÂber of almost 100,000 Iraqi civilÂians to date, which may be the first time a U.S. govÂernÂment body has released this information.

Many news outÂlets are reportÂing that sevÂeral Katyusha rockÂets from southÂern Lebanon have landed in westÂern Galilee in Israel, injurÂing two. Israel has apparÂently flown sorÂties over the Lebanese borÂder and responded with morÂtar fire.
